Take Me to Your Captain: Perspectives on Your First Encounter with Aliens
خذني إلى قائدك.. وجهات نظر حول أول لقاء لك مع كائنات فضائية
The world's most famous astrophysicist has written his most entertaining and engaging book to date: a practical guide to dealing with extraterrestrial visitors, an exploration of how they might happen, and a cultural history of our fascination with aliens.
"Since childhood, I've wished that aliens would abduct me," says Neil deGrasse Tyson.
Take Me to Your Captain is the culmination of a lifetime of passion, speculation, and collecting scientific data about the possibility of aliens visiting Earth. Drawing on a wealth of imagery from history, literature, popular culture, and film, Tyson applies the laws of astrophysics to argue about what aliens look like and behave, how they might travel across the universe to reach us, and what they might think of us upon arrival. And, should that happen, Tyson also offers helpful tips on etiquette for a first close encounter.
If you've ever wondered why there are so many UFO sightings, or whether aliens are really among us, Tyson offers an enlightening perspective that blends fact and entertainment. "Take Me to Your Captain" is a fascinating exploration of what may be the most mind-boggling experience of your life—the perfect book for anyone who has ever wondered: Are we alone in the universe?
