استعادة التواصل والمسؤولية تجاه جيراننا
Restoring connection and responsibility to our neighbors What is the role and responsibility of the community when it participates in a reform process? This handbook aims to expand the roles and responsibilities of community stakeholders in restorative and restorative justice approaches. Whether they are family members, friends, neighbors, concerned citizens, or system actors, the range of needs, obligations, and opportunities for engagement in restorative justice processes is broad and deserves greater attention. In this handbook, Cheryl Wilson and Caitlin Morneau draw on their experience in restorative justice facilitation, education, community organizing, and movement-building leadership to highlight ways to invite, expand, and support engagement in restorative justice. The authors offer reflections, analysis, and considerations for supporting and including community members in restorative justice and movement building processes. This book is intended for secondary victims of harm (witnesses or bystanders) who may not understand their role in the harm repair process. It is also intended for those who support the person who has caused harm and need guidance on their role. Finally, this book is intended for those who are close to harmful events and care about those in the same place. As a society, there are ways that people come together in organized groups when things go wrong, but what about when things go well? How can we be good neighbors, coworkers, and friends, so that when we face challenges, we get off to a good start?
