العلم والاغتراب والحرية: مقال في فلسفة العلم من الحتمية إلى اللاحتمية
“The logical contradiction between determinism and indeterminism is like the contradiction between night and day, and when the mentality took hold of the principle of inevitability, it led to the night of strangers. Through reason, logic, and science, we adhere to the principle of indeterminism, perhaps it will lead us to the dawn of the free, and may it explode in the mazes of darkness of alienation.” This book is the largest part of the scientific thesis that Professor “**Yumna Tarif” obtained Al-Kholy **” Doctorate in Philosophy, 1985 AD. In this book, the author addresses a central issue in the philosophy of science, which is the issue of determinism and indeterminism, which is one of the most important issues in the philosophy of science, and is considered the backbone of his discussions. The author dealt with this issue with a comprehensive study, in which she studied the history of the principle of scientific determinism in the various eras of philosophy, showing the seriousness of this principle, and the schizophrenic state it caused, from which philosophy has suffered for a long time. It resulted in the state of mental alienation that modern man experiences. The author then discussed the types of scientific determinism, such as: physical determinism, biological, psychological and others. Then, she elaborated on the scientific and mathematical revolutions that caused the collapse of the principle of scientific determinism, until the rules of indeterminism were established in the contemporary philosophy of science.
