مسجد قرطبة: نموذج لما نهبته الكنيسة الكاثوليكية في أسبانيا
From national monuments to buildings, estates, plazas and orchards, the Spanish Catholic Church did not hesitate to register properties. Whether it is a World Heritage Site of inestimable cultural and historical value, or a humble parish church built with the efforts of a small village, the Catholic Church has become, thanks to a legal loophole created under Franco and expanded by Aznar, the country's largest property owner. By examining the case of the Cathedral Mosque of Córdoba, an exemplary and controversial case, as well as 16 other important cadastral cases in the Iberian Peninsula, this instructive text explains and proposes solutions to the arbitrary system that, with the complicity of registration officials and a legal chaos contrary to human rights, allowed this scandal to occur. We are talking about the blatant plundering of thousands of properties that belong to the public good. Restoring it requires overcoming apathy and inaction, and defending our common wealth. This is the call to action contained in these pages.
