#### In the first half of the nineteenth century, Eugene Sue immortalized the legend of the Wandering Jew by writing this long novel, which he wrote between 1844 and 1845, and turned it into a serial story, which achieved great success for the newspaper “Le Constitution” which published it in episodes. * The book “The Wandering Jew” tells the story of an ancient French family with a Protestant sect, descendants of the Wandering Jew who was condemned by Christ to eternal wandering and spread the cholera epidemic, and who were exiled to various parts of the earth. One hundred and fifty years later, only seven grandchildren remained, the sole heirs to a huge inheritance. To obtain it, each of them must possess a bronze medallion bearing two inscriptions indicating the date and place of the meeting of these seven. The Society of Jesus, eager to seize this inheritance, seeks to use various means, both subtle and violent, to eliminate all the legitimate heirs (except the missionary) and prevent them from being in Paris at the appointed time.
