#### Are we on the verge of the collapse of Israel? Is it possible to build a future based on peaceful coexistence instead of endless war? * October 7 and the subsequent Israeli invasion of Gaza revealed the fragility of its foundations. Israel has shown itself to be a state unable to protect its citizens, divided between strict religious rulers and enlightened liberal Zionists, resentful of its neighbors, and lacking the support of Jews around the world. As its leaders justify bombing campaigns that go beyond the worst atrocities of World War II, and the Gaza Strip slides toward a worsening humanitarian catastrophe, Israel turns into a pariah state. Its biggest enemy is not Hamas, but itself. To move beyond the idea of a Jewish state, Ilan Pappé guides us to a path of restorative justice and decolonization, which includes the return of refugees, the dismantling of settlements, and the urgent need to build bridges of communication with the Arab world. Are we on the verge of the collapse of Israel? Is it possible to build a future based on peaceful coexistence? -And not an endless war?
