#### Nadamat lends his apartment to Shapur. Shapur intends to renovate it and prepare it for Nadamat's upcoming wedding. Shapur does everything for Nadamat, he works in his stall in Mayurstwin, engages in fraud and illegal business. * Marie lives in the apartment next door, and as they stand on their balcony smoking cheap cigarettes, Shapur falls in love with her at first sight, but his Norwegian is too weak to express his feelings. What he doesn't know is that Mary hides her Iranian identity and Persian language because she wants to avoid Iranian men who keep getting married. Both Shapur and Marie have fled Tehran, two people with similar backgrounds, but their lives and opportunities in their new homeland, Oslo, and in the same apartment complex, are very different. Soudabeh Alishahi offers a nuanced, non-preachy look at the immigrant community, with an earnest style and a loving sense of humor. It's an imperfect world, but even here, things mostly work out, in their own way.
