#### The class war that was a huge success! At the forefront of France's cultural battle, this independent and radical media outlet returns for a crucial third issue on the city just weeks before the 2026 municipal elections. * Where should we live? How do we find a house that is attractive and spacious enough, that is neither too cold in the winter nor too hot in the summer, and that does not cost half our salary? Which city or village should we choose to settle in? Can we make friends or raise our children without going broke? This question may preoccupy us for years, largely determine our life choices, and even affect our decision to stay or separate from our life partner, lover, or parents. The housing crisis is constantly worsening, and with it the number of homeless people has doubled since 2017. This is not just a “societal problem,” it is a policy choice that has been made for decades: allowing landlords, platforms, and investment funds to profit massively from one of our basic needs. How do we break free from this spiral? This is the question we address in this issue. Founded in 2013, Fractionation magazine aims to document the mechanisms of class struggle, systemic racism and male dominance with the aim of better combating them. The magazine calls for a classless society in which individuals enjoy complete financial independence.
