العلوم الثورية النضال من أجل الزراعة الإيكولوجية
العلوم الثورية النضال من أجل الزراعة الإيكولوجية
In the 1940s, a US-backed campaign spread industrial agriculture throughout the Americas, dismantling traditional farming systems that had supported peasant societies for generations. The result was environmental damage, cultural loss, and worsening inequality. Amid this devastation, a group of Latin American scholars chose another path. Working alongside farmers, indigenous communities and social movements, they helped shape a new vision – agroecology: a science based on ecology, cultural respect and political commitment to the most marginalized. “Revolutionary Science” tells their story and poses a vital question: Can agroecology flourish as a science and a movement powerful enough to advance the livelihoods of millions of farmers and many others throughout the Americas?
