تاريخ الشحن.. نظرة فريدة على جانب مظلم من تاريخ النفط
Tarje Lehr-Salvesen delved into the archives and interviewed eyewitnesses among shipowners, sailors and political activists. The story told offers a unique insight into a dark side of Norwegian shipping history. South Africa's apartheid regime led to an international boycott and political, economic, and cultural sanctions. In the 1980s, the United Nations discouraged oil trade with South Africa, and in 1987, Norway imposed an embargo on oil transportation into the country. But South Africa has never lacked oil. Norwegian shipowners were among those who made huge sums of money supplying oil to brutal state machines - with the help of criminal middlemen and secret operations. Much of the oil sold at inflated prices came from another terrorist regime, Iran. Tarje Lehr-Salvesen has more than 25 years of experience in journalism, during which he has worked for prestigious media organizations such as NRK Brennpunkt, Fædrelandsvennen, Dagbladet and Klassekampen. He has served on the Public Relations Committee of the Pressens Foundation and was a Fellow of the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford. He currently works as a freelance investigative journalist.
