The book (Selected Problems in the Knowledge Society in Light of Philosophy) deals with the economic, philosophical, social and educational aspects of the knowledge society. The theoretical part is based on a number of theoretical approaches to prominent theories in the field of knowledge economy, in addition to issues closely related to it. The authors introduce the topic of the knowledge economy in the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which includes, for example, the contexts of lean production and new technologies. The authors also point out the risks that may accompany this industrial revolution. They compare the opinions of different experts in the field of education, trying to answer the question: Is there a specialization that can play an integrative role in knowledge? The authors consider philosophy to be one of these disciplines. The book also attempts to explain some of Peter Drucker's inspiring ideas. The authors seek to put forward an approach to building a knowledge society in a way that avoids the shortcomings pointed out by, for example, Lyseman and Adorno. The authors discuss the suitability of modern educational curricula for transforming society into a knowledge society, in light of the reality of information technology. They also provide a critical analysis of some EU educational evaluation standards, and suggest measures that could improve the quality of education. The analytical part includes the study of questions about the knowledge society and its economy with the participation of eminent researchers, including applied physicist Boris Evgenievich Paton. Participants answered questions related to the role of marketing in the knowledge economy, structural changes in society, human resource management, the education system, and other contexts. The summary and analysis of the answers focus on the points of agreement and disagreement between them.
