Porridge please! Written by Laura Mucha, illustrated by Mark Buttevant (Walker Publishing, 48 pages) All Bear wants to do is relax in his bed and read the last page of his book, but someone is knocking at the door. Who, I wonder? It's Goldilocks, who has run out of porridge, so the bear shares his large bowl before rushing back upstairs to finish his book. But there's another knock at the door, and a group of beloved fairytale characters pour in, eager for breakfast. But wait, how is it possible that there is a hairy grandmother here when Laila in Red said that the evil wolf had eaten her? Little ones will love their favorite characters and enjoy how Bear saves the day in this funny story with bright, bold graphics. Suitable for children One of the best children's books currently available: "Porridge Please!" by Laura Mucha with illustrations by Marc Boutivant, “Robin” by Sarah Ann Jukes, and “Part Us Apart” by E. Lockhart
