JAMMU AND KASHMIR – THE FORGOTTEN NARRATIVE

الروبوتات القاتلة واستخدامها في حروب المستقبل

Not Translated

Killer robots are weapons equipped with high technologies and cameras that enable them to explore, identify and attack enemy targets. They do all of this independently and without human control, but rather based on mathematical operations carried out by artificial intelligence. These killer robots are already in use in a number of armies, and have even been used in battle. With the exception of missiles and smart bombs, these technologies are increasingly being used today in unmanned aircraft (drones) equipped with weapons and capabilities to operate independently, and which are in the possession of a number of armies that are working to develop them and increase their capabilities, such as the armies of America, China, Russia, Britain, Israel, Turkey, and South Korea, to name a few. There are reports indicating that Turkey used independent armed drones against the forces of Khalifa Haftar, commander of the National Army in Libya. It also supported Azerbaijan with these aircraft, which helped it defeat Armenian forces and regain control of lands in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. Israel and South Korea are among the countries that have introduced facial recognition technologies into some of their weapons, and they may have been used in some of the weapons with which the Israeli army targeted leading members of “Hamas” and “Islamic Jihad” in Gaza. The mere idea of arming robots and launching them to kill independently or with very little control may seem terrifying to most people, but it nevertheless arouses the imagination and admiration of some inventors, and tempts some military planners. It is clear that some of the largest armies in the world are intensifying their efforts to develop such weapons, justifying this with the logic of deterrence that was behind the development and possession of nuclear weapons. These countries and others believe that with the tremendous technological development and the beginning of some countries to use electronic attacks and artificial intelligence technologies, it is necessary for them to develop deterrent weapons, including combat robots.
