Dar Al-Shorouk will soon publish the novel “We Were Deceived” by novelist Dina Shehata, in her first collaboration with the publishing house. Writer Dina Shehata celebrated the imminent publication of the novel on her personal page on the social networking site “Facebook,” where she wrote in a blog post: “I wrote five novels in many cities, to decode my own code regarding my beloved city, Port Said. Five stories to reach her, to her heart as I see her and know her. A novel about the illusions we believe too much.” Dina Shehata is an Egyptian writer and doctor, born in 1987. Her books include: “Forgiveness,” “Another Tuesday,” “Departure and Exile,” and “What the Birds Drove,” by Nadha Aseel, published by Dar Al Ain, which is competing on the long list of the Sheikh Zayed Award, Young Author Branch.
