فجر يوم جديد في غزة
فجر يوم جديد في غزة
Gaza was once a vibrant place, characterized by humanity, creativity, cultural diversity and thriving industry. Today, this place has been almost completely destroyed, and its people are fleeing constant attacks. However, Gaza survivors still preserve their culture through literature, music, art, stories and memories. This book documents that legacy, a moving testimony to an extraordinary place and its people. Artists, doctors, students, farmers, teachers, acrobats, shop owners and many more share their stories. Their stories speak of love and loss, fear and hope, and resilience in the midst of devastation. Texts, poems, photographs, and drawings embody Gaza's cultural diversity and turbulent history. This volume includes 41 illustrations, including new works by local artists and rare images of life in Gaza since 1917. These contributions reveal how deeply embedded art and memory are in people's daily lives, even under harsh circumstances. It is a moving collection of stories about hope and dignity, about grief and anger, and about the unwavering will to live. This collection gives a picture of the people of Gaza and depicts their lives, which nevertheless retained their joy and meaning. It is a poignant document and a powerful statement against destruction and forgetfulness.
