After receiving a promotion and moving to Los Angeles, 28-year-old insurance investigator Julia Brooks stumbles upon a mysterious ammunition box filled with evidence and information pointing to a murder from her past, as well as evidence of a recurring nightmare that has baffled and tormented her for years. Julia decides to search for the owner of the box in the few days before starting her new job, return the box to her, and get answers about her disturbing nightmare. As events develop, we move between her current search for the owner of the box, and the events and characters in the dark world of Los Angeles, its past and present, to uncover the complex mystery that changes everyone’s lives.
