Within the publications of the House of Poetry in Morocco for the year 2025, a new critical book was published by the Moroccan poet and art critic Boudjemaa Al-Oufi under the title (Questions of Identity in Moroccan Art and the Poetics of Writing: Semantic and Aesthetic Production). It is worth noting that this book will be presented at the opening ceremony of the House of Poetry’s activities in Morocco for the cultural season of 2026, along with the other new publications of the House of Poetry, which number 10 works, distributed among poetry, criticism and translation, in addition to the 45th issue of “Al-Bayt” magazine, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at six o’clock in the evening at the Higher National Institute of Music and Choreographic Arts in Rabat (near the Mohammed V Theater), in the presence of And the participation of poets and authors concerned with these new publications. This book comes in double detail, with two main parts or axes, different and independent in type, essence, and subject matter, but intersecting in nature, in terms of their belonging together (art and poetry) to artistic expression and the fields of semantic and aesthetic production. They are united by the question and the approach that examines the specificities of each of them separately, in terms of an attempt to disassemble in a possible, focused, and precise manner the “issues, problems, and questions of identity and rooting in the Moroccan plastic arts,” at the level of the first axis of the study, on the one hand, and then working to clarify and question the experience of Moroccan poetry, and searching in many of its contemporary experiences for “the poetics and specificity of writing,” on the other hand. That is, when this poetry, in its visions, tools, and aesthetic and expressive achievements, moved from the “poem,” with its rhythmic and aural characteristics and structures, to writing, with its new, tangible, and apparent embodiment, semantic, and visual characteristics and features.
