لسان عصفور
The book “Lisan Asfour” includes more than fifty pieces, most of which can be described as “narrative miniatures.” “The doctor asked: - How much does a human heart weigh? - This depends on gender, height, age and health condition. But the general average ranges between three hundred and three hundred and twenty grams. - Only? The heart is a strange being. Its weight changes every day, and sometimes every second, depending on the activity of sunspots, what is reported in the news, clouds in the sky, moments of love, children’s laughter, and images on television screens. Sometimes you find it lighter than a feather, and at other times its weight may exceed a ton. All weights, between a feather and three hundred grams and a ton of stones, are possible, probable, and recorded in scientific papers. This statement does not answer my question, nor does it reduce my confusion. “The heart is not called anything other than its fickleness.” The book “Lisan Asfour” includes more than fifty pieces, most of which we can describe as “narrative miniatures,” in which Hossam Fakhr, in his poetic style characterized by delicate sensitivity, was able, as usual, to combine pleasure and honesty, simplicity and depth at the same time.
