The failure of the merger lies in what many see, but few dare to speak about publicly; Cultural clashes in everyday school life and in the workplace, counselors in adult education programs who encounter participants with attitudes that conflict with basic human rights, and young people who experience a conflict between different cultural values. Should we open restaurants serving halal food and prayer rooms in schools? Can we accept preventing girls from participating in swimming lessons or going on school trips? The book points out a number of integration challenges, but it also charts a course for the future. The author shows how the role of schools as centers of values ​​can be strengthened, how child welfare services should be equipped to confront cultural relativism, and how political apathy should be replaced with clarity. The author also presents the results of international research, mostly from Scandinavian countries, that confirm the existence of effective integration measures - if we dare to use them.
